Well for everyone who has called Winnie Nwagi impossible, rebellious and a skimpy immoral dresser, she is now swimming on cloud 20 as she has received a compliment from the Prime Minister of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga. Winnie Nwagi recently performed at a function where the Katikkiro was among the guests.
Whereas many would expect him to come out and retaliate against her dresscode not tallying with her culture, he instead had only good things to say about her waist whining skills. According to videos Nwagi shared on TikTok, the Katikkiro praised her music and her dancing skills. He also made it clear that he is not among people that sneer at the songbird for wearing skimpy clothes in public.
"Katikkiro has shown me that he likes my music, so he is also my fan. my fans have no problem with my dress code." Nwagi said in a video
She went ahead to express how happy she was for having been accepted and acknowledged by a man of such high standards. She mentioned that she was very glad he liked her music however much many people criticised her.
"I feel good that he likes my music because I believe in myself, you can't say I don't sing well, but it sounds good coming from him." She mentioned
On Mayiga saying she is the best female dancer, the musician said everyone has a chive about what works best for them and she is glad she works best for the Katikkiro. She added that she feels extra special that he likes her music.
"Everyone has who is best for them, it seems I'm the one for him. I told him there are those who like you and those that don't. it makes me happy to know that he enjoys my music. That's special." She beamed
