Kayanja Raymond , better known by his stage name Azrael Azazel, is a Ugandan music artist ,Songwriter en Vocalist . Born on August 28th in the Wakiso district of Uganda, Azrael Azazel spent his formative years surrounded by his Mum and sister. He embarked on his educational journey in Uganda, which laid the foundation for his later music career.
Azrael Azazel attended Wakiso Junior School, where he completed his Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). His academic pursuits then led him to Mwererwe Secondary School, where he earned his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) for his Ordinary level education. He continued his studies at the same institution, ultimately receiving his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) after completing his A-level.
However, it was in the world of musical Art that Azrael Azazel truly found his calling. He initially delved into lyric composing in 2017, honing his craft under the guidance of fellow Ugandan Artists. As he gained experience and expertise in the field, he eventually started his own lyric Creations.
Azrael Azazel's journey as an artist officially began in 2020 when he first ventured into singing. However, it wasn't until June 27, 2020, that he released his debut song, titled "Osabula" This song quickly made waves, climbing to the impressive position of number 5 on the list of top songs of the month in August. This marked the beginning of a promising musical career.
One of Azrael Azazel's significant achievements came with the release of his debut album, "Blackculture," in 2020. This album made a quick impact, debuting at number two on Apple Music and maintaining that position for six consecutive weeks. "Blackculture" has continued to enjoy en enduring success, remaining in the top 100 albums in Uganda. In February 2022, the album once again claimed the number two spot, solidifying Azrael Azazel's status as one of Uganda's top digital artists.
Notably, Azrael Azazel's musical eligibility extends beyond his own tracks. Before becoming a prominent Artist, he established himself as a renowned lyric composer. One of his notable projects in this role includes his work on the hit song "Ondimu" by JoshimTums Ft Avie Ragens.
In December 2023, Azrael Azazel stood firm in the Foundation of , JAIL TIMES MANAGEMENT, which operates in Uganda. As the C.E.O, this paved him creative space to craft his iconic debut Jams which would go on to become one of the most popular gigs of more drawing yrs.
