Renown religious leader, Bishop David Kiganda has called on Ugandans to quit paying gospel artistes saying God's work should be done for free
The founder and senior preacher of Christianity Focus Center, Kisenyi Kampala claims that gospel artistes, when they sing are serving the Lord.
He adds that the scriptures condemn paying for God's work to be done (ministry). He advised gospel Artistes not to accept payment for ministering through music.
"No one should pay the gospel Artistes because they are serving God and the scriptures discourage charging money for Ministry." he said.
He gave an example of Jesus, who did the work of the ministry and preaching the good news for free explaining that Ugandan gospel singers should borrow a leaf
"Aren't you glad that the Lord didn't charge any of us to hear about the food news of the gospel into salvation? Aren't you glad that the holy spirit doesn't charge any of us for the spiritual gifts he gives to the church?" Kiganda argued.
