The Forum for Democratic Change believes that the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba “should be dismissed from UPDF with maximum shame and disgrace. The Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju hinted on FDC’s plan to drag Museveni and his son to court if the president to hire his son as a manager for one of his farms.
"The FDC might be tempted to seek judicial review of Muhoozi treatment/promotion after his scandalous behavior,” revealed Ssemujju,
Speaking at the party’s headquarters on Monday, October 10, FDC spokesperson and Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda described Gen Muhoozi as a “spoilt son” to Uganda’s President Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni. Ssemujju also went ahead and described Muhoozi’s careless tweeting as an act of “indiscipline.”
“Museveni’s spoilt son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba who until last week was commander of the country’s land forces, repeatedly provoked and insulted Kenya in several of his tweets. He tweeted that he can capture Nairobi in one week." Said Ssemujju.
According to Ssemujju, he says that Muhoozi later suggested that his ‘great and mighty father’ should be the president of East Africa and that the Kenyan President should be his deputy. He also mentioned that Muhoozi said that the President of Rwanda is only fit to be minister in that government of East Africa led by his father.
Ssemujju said that Muhoozi should be arraigned before a military court and dismissed from the national army over indiscipline beaches if at all he is doing wrong things but yet he is being rewarded by bigger positions, he will never learn that he was wrong since it feels like he is being rewarded.
“The FDC wants Muhoozi Kainerugaba to be court-martialed, dismissed from the army with disgrace and sent to Luzira. That is what section 145 of the UPDF Act on Scandalous behavior by officers says: 145 (1): An officer who behaves in a scandalous manner unbecoming of an officer, commits an offense and is, on conviction, liable to suffer dismissal from the Defence Forces with or without disgrace,” ,” said the party’s spokesperson.
Ssemujju further noted that Museveni went against the spirit of the law by promoting his son who exhibited indiscipline, and further warned that this precedent of rewarding misconduct, will now be used by others since the President has already given everyone an example.
