Former Galaxy FM presenter has revealed how she not at any time pull a coin from her pockets and give it to the self proclaimed men of God.

NRG radio Uganda presenter Prim Asimwe has a bone to pick with subjects who give all their money to pastors. Infact, she has branded them stupid.

While featuring on the first episode of 'Why I hate church' series hosted by former media personality cum apostle Jonathan Nalebo, the mother of one revealed how she not at any time pull a coin from her pockets and give it to the self proclaimed men of God.

Prim Asimwe reasons that her relationship with God is personal and it is upon that background that whether she gives tithe or not, it’s up to her.

The Pastor tried to compromise with her saying that when she gives, it’s for God, not individuals.
The pencil sized presenter is also disturbed by the fact that these churches have no accountability. In the end, the money paid by the churchgoers is used by these pastors to look after and enrich themselves.

"I don’t think I will ever get stupid to the point of giving all my money to pastors. My relationship with my God is personal and he understands my reasons better than anyone. These churches have no accountability. All the money that we give them is used to enrich them at the expense of languishing followers,” she said in a video accessed by this website.

Presently, there is a narrative that many churches in Uganda especially those of born-again Christians have become money-making businesses.

Every now and then, pastors are heard telling their flock to give them money to receive blessings. Some of these pastors have different items they sell to their followers at exorbitant prices.

They sometimes include things such as ‘holy water’, among others. Sadly and shockingly their gullible followers always buy these items in the hope of getting blessings.

Most of these pastors are some of the richest Ugandans driving some of the most expensive cars, own expensive property like real estate scattered all over the country. They sleep in mansions but on a sad note ,  those who contribute to the welfare sleep in rooms that are not up to standards.

It should also be noted that these churches are usually not audited, they pay no taxes, they present no accountability for the money they always receive from congregants, among other things.

Meanwhile, let's Know what you think the issue of followers giving money to pastors. The chat box is open and your comment counts a lot.
