The countdown is on for the much-anticipated Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival, a vibrant celebration of culture and heritage in Tooro that coincides with the coronation anniversary of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV. Scheduled for the 13th and 14th of September 2024, the festival promises an exciting array of activities in Fort Portal, aimed at honoring the legacy of the beloved monarch.
For a ticket price of just 50,000 UGX, festival-goers will not only secure VIP access to the star-studded music festival at Buhinga Stadium but will also enjoy complimentary transportation to and from Fort Portal. Attendees will be treated to exhilarating excursions, including visits to the stunning Sempaya Hot Springs, the crater lakes, and the Royal Palace. For those with an adventurous spirit, there will be chimpanzee trekking in Kibaale, a tour of the Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru caves, and a royal tour. They will be joined by local talent from Fort Portal, including Atwooki Richie, Muzanil Ayesiga, Tai-Tan, Irene Henda, Raya Rosette, Draei Bitsc, Hly Tremmie, and Sagio Mhza. DJs Tony, DJ Bash, and DJ Hash will keep the crowd energized with beats that are sure to keep everyone on their feet.
