    Have you heard if the saying that goes “forbidden is the sweetest"? Am sure we have all experienced this at a certain point in our lives. Even when we may not want to admit to it, bad habits sure are addictive! It is not because we do not know that they are bad and hence they are wrong. I don’t Know how to explain this but that is just the way it is.

    You seem to be addicted to your bad habits for all the wrong reasons. Sometimes you even tell yourself that those habits are comfortable for you. They may seem comfortable but that does not change the fact that they are bad habits that need to be done away with.

    The issue with bad habits is that however bad they are, you find them hard to break and yet you also know so well that you should do your best to break them. Some bad habits will hold you back and make you less productive hence letting them go could be the best way for you to maintain your productivity.

    Sometimes the habits have become a part if us that we have no idea how we could go in without them. Well, believe it or not, they may seem harmless in the beginning but these bad habits will distort a very big part of your life. In order to live healthy therefore, you have to do away with these bad habits.

    Procrastination.

    Procrastination is the worst enemy of progress. You always feel like it is not the right time to start that business, to get into a relationship or to pursue a certain career so you always push it forward, claiming that you shall take action later. Guess what. If you are a procrastinator, you will never find the right time to start whatever it is that you want to start.

    How then will you progress if you keep pushing forward the things that you need to do in order to see progress in your life? If you want your life to progress and move forward, stop procrastinating. Instead of keeping things for later, you should choose to do them Now!

    Eating late in the night.

    When ever you eat late in the night, there are consequences that you have never taken into account. Digestion is slowest in those hours of the night. It is partially because your body is simply tired and the entire system wants to rest. Sometimes, you eat and then immediately go to bed. How do you expect the system to break down what you have eaten though?

    Eating late in the night will in the long run have consequences on your health. However much you love the midnight snack, you need to put your health into consideration. Stolen this bad habit if you wish to stay healthy.

    Being a people pleaser.

    Being a yes person is not going to get you anywhere. I understand that you do not want to let people down and you want to be here for everyone that needs you but you are not wonder woman or super man. Do the bare minimum, do what you can manage and leave he rest to the creator.

    Bad habits

    Just because you are breaking your back to help everyone around you doesn’t guarantee that you can make everyone around you happy. There are people you will never please even when you travel to the moon for them. You will only tire yourself mentally and physically. Why not prioritize yourself for a change?

    Playing the blame game.

    If you are always blaming everyone else for every misfortune that comes your way, you will not gain anything from it. Instead of progressing, you will always wallow in self pity and anger (what a way to live). Instead of blaming everyone else for everything that goes on in your life, try getting up and making changes in your life. Do away with the bad habit of playing the blame game.

    Quitting.

    No matter what happens, you should never quit. The journey will forever be rough and mind you, nothing good ever comes easy. If you are in the habit of quitting every time you feel like it is getting tough, you shall never see yourself progressing. The truth still remains that quitters never win and winners never ever quit.

    Nail biting

    I know am shaking many tables with this but y’all need to hear the truth. Nail biting is one of the nastiest things you can do. It may not be as nasty as nose picking but oh well, let’s not even go there. You may not know the amount of germs that your exposed to when you bite your nails. Aside from that, it does not look cool at all!

    Settling for less.

    Stop and I repeat stop settling for less. You deserve so much more so you should not put up with this kind of bad habit. If you do this, get rid of this habit as soon as immediately.

    Stress eating

    If only you knew how bad stress eating is for your health, you would stay away from food (most especially junk food) every time you face a stressful period. Man up and try to manage your stress in a better way. I believe facing the issue is better than eating the stress away. Stress wont go away just because you ate. You need to eradicate the cause of the stress for it to go away.

    Last minute planning.

    If you are a last minute planner, this is a bad habit that you need to do away with. Have you never heard of the five P's “Proper prior planning prevents poor performance" ? If you are to do something to perfection then you need to stop last minute planning. The earlier you plan for everything, the better the results will be.
