Jude Bellingham left Wembley Stadium after claiming his first European Cup with Real Madrid. This was Real Madrid's 15th Champions League trophy.
However, he was asked some questions about Kylain Mbappe who could join Real Madrid.
Bellingham made it clear that nothing official was confirmed but spoke with excitement about the possibility of playing alongside the Paris Saint Germain striker.
He said the following;
If it was to happen, it would be amazing. A player like him...... you see tonight I think its the only little thing that maybe we're missing in terms of that clinical nine and I think if he was to come and give us that, we'd be in a really, really great place. He'd take us to another level.
Joselu is the only true centre forward in Madrid's squad but he is not even a Madrid player as he is on loan from Espanyol.
With Real Madrid winning six of the last 10 Champions Leagues, the notion that this group of players could yet improve is a frightening one to their rivals.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand said the following about Real Madrid;
What is scary right now is they have Kylian Mbappe potentially coming here, Endrick, the next golden boy in Brazilian football. The recruitment has been nothing short of remarkable the last few years. From being the Galacticos over the years to buying the best young talent around, growing them, grooming them like Vinicius, like Rodrygo to become superstars. Players now want to come to this club more than anywhere in the world because of what they do. They groom players, they improve players, all while putting trophies in the cabinet.
Mbappe scored 44 goals in 48 games for PSG this season and he announced in May that it would be his final campaign in the French capital.
Mbappe leaves PSG having scored 256 goals, provided 96 assists and lifted 15 trophies. Before joining PSG, he also led Monaco to a Ligue 1 title.
Internationally, Mbappe won the 2018 World Cup and 2021 Nations League. He also led France to the world cup final of 2022 but they lost to Argentina.
Mbappe would fill the gap left by Karim Benzema if he were to join Real Madrid in the summer.
The Ballon d'Or is the only award Kylian Mbappe has not yet won. But if he joins Real Madrid, he could get it as the club have a storied history of helping their stars win the ultimate individual prize.
