There have been mixed reactions from a number of celebrities ranging from musicians to comedians following Court's decision to remand NBS TV's Kayz to Kitalya Prison.
Kayz last week together with his workmates, Bryan Kennedy and Williams Makuliro were arraigned before the Buganda Road Magistrate Court and charged with offensive communication against singer OS Suna.
The trio are currently being held in Kitalya Prison till 15th October. Celebrities are however divided on whether Kayz deserves to be remanded or pardoned.
Singer Crysto Panda, who also doubles as a television presenter took to his Facebook to announce his stand, calling for the release of the embattled gossip veteran..
The post, which is accompanied by a poster reading "Free Kayz" Crysto Panda thinks taking legal action wasn't the right thing for OS Suna, but rather a round table discussion would have sorted things out.
"I don't know the story behind why these guys were arrested but as a human being, I feel y'all should have sat on a round table and sort things out as humans in a calmly manner but not imprisoning them Bambi." Panda pleaded.
However, following this post, Crysto Panda was immediately roasted by several celebrities who urged him to first know the background story before commenting fwaa.
"Lol. How about if you stop commenting on things you don't understand. Leka nawe." popular fashion stat, Abraynz shot at Panda..
"You don't know the story yet you have an opinion? Olusi let's just watch and see how things play out." comedian Patrick Salvador added to the gunfire.
Veteran Artistes Hail OS Suna.
A number of veteran singers have however sided with Omulangira Suuna, whom they hailed as being brave for doing what most artistes fear to do.
Cinderella Sanyu alias the King Herself praised Suuna as a brave man for standing up to the media and for that, she has alot of respect for him.
"I have got so much respect for this man , @iamossuna for having the balls to do what most artistes are scared to do. Character assassination and defamation is a real crime and if dialogue fails, then the law should take over. Power to you man! " she wrote on social media.
Naira Ali also came out praising the White House entertainment chief for setting a precedent. She encouraged Artistes to fight for themselves since most presenters are fully backed by the media houses they work for.
"OS Suna has set a precedent ie defamation of asrtistes is actually suable in Ugandan courts of law. Artistes. Do you realise that every media house is behind their friends whether right or wrong ? When do we all ever get behind our fellow Artistes when they are in trouble what do we learn from this ?" Naira posted on her social media.
OS Suna Ready To Forgive.
Amid all the comments and goingons, singer OS Suna is ready to forgive Kayz and his friends should they decide to apologise.
This was revealedd by singer Bruno K, who met with Suna to discuss Kayz' fate.
"I have had a chat with my big brother, OS Suna about the Kayz issue. Well he says he is ready to forgive Kayz and Wako if they apologise to him." Bruno posted on his socials as well.
