Chelsea are interested in signing Fulham centre back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.
Tosin had been in talks with Newcastle United before Chelsea came in with a contract.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tosin Adarabioyo could be Chelsea's first signing under incoming manager Enzo Maresca.
An agreement has not yet been finalised but Chelsea are hopeful of adding the centre back to their current squad.
CHALOBAH TO LEAVE CHELSEA
Despite his impressive end to the season, Chelsea consider Chalobah as a sellable asset because he graduated from the Chelsea football academy and can be considered as a profit if sold so that the club can be in line with the Financial Fair Play rules. Conor Gallagher is also likely to be sold.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Trevor Chalobah who still has four years on his contract.
CHELSEA AND ARAENAL TARGET HARTMAN
It has also been reported that Chelsea and Arsenal are in a race to sign Feyenoord left back Quilindschy Hartman.
During Arne Slot's reign at Feyenoord, Hartman was the key to their success before he got a serious knee injury in March.
He is expected to be unavailable for the majority of 2024 which could complicate any future transfer.
It has been reported that Arsenal will watch the 22 year old's comeback with a keen eye having identified him as a player who could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
Arsenal are also in search of a left back but could delay to sign one as they want to see what Jurrien Timber can offer in the coming season having faced an injury in his debut season.
Feyenoord are open to selling Hartman this summer but are well aware his recent injury will make any transfers difficult.
Hartman revealed that Chelsea were interested in signing him in January but he declined the move as he thought it was still too early to change clubs. He said the following;
Right now they don't want me, but they really wanted to [sign me]. Chelsea came to Feyenoord last winter break. To be honest, I didn't want it at that moment. I had only just broken through, just started playing everything and it wasn't the right time either with a view to the European Championship.Feyenoord was not open to selling in the winter, but this summer, they were. Interest has returned in recent months. They really wanted me and I was certainly open to it. Unfortunately, things turned out differently. At the same time I think: 'I'll stay at Feyenoord, that's fine too'. But there was indeed a good chance that the transfer would have gone through.
