Court hearings of elections fraud countrywide have resumed today as those who lost different seats filed petitions opposing the results. The environments around different courts have been in high gear as those contestisting the results were present with their lawyers, and so were those who were announced winners.
Court in Masaka City dismissed the case presented against Mayor elect, Florence Namayanja of NUP. Court said the petitioning team didn't avail enough evidence against Namayanja's win. In her words, Namayanja said those fighting her victory are wasting their time.
"I don't know what their intentions are but I won the election. They're coming in with too much force but I want to assure them that I'm stronger than them all." said Namayanja.
In Kampala, NUP contestant and Robert Kyagulanyi's brother Nyanzi John alias chairman Nyanzi also presented himself to court, claiming he won the Kampala Central MP position, which is currently occupied by indipendent candidate Hon. Muhammad Nsereko.
