The Walt Disney Company commonly known as Disney has invaded the home of former presidential aspirant, Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine.
This is not a typical invasion as "you would imagine" breaking into somebody's house but rather an invisible invasion. (sorry for those who thought armed Disney Cinderellas had invaded Bobi's home in Magere ?)
Through his daughter, Suubi Shine, Disney has been able to penetrate the heart of Bobi Wine's homestead because his daughter really loves Moana.
Moana who is a fictional Disney character that inspired Bobi's daughter to celebrate her birthday this year. Together with her young friends, Suubi with the help of her parents (Bobi and Barbie) organised a Moana themed birthday party.
She was turning 6 years of age having been born in 2016, 10th August at about 7 am according to her mother, Barbie Kyagulanyi. Her parents, friends and family all attended the secretly organised birthday party.
Suubi at first sight looked like she was wearing barkcloth, a traditional wear of the Baganda. Infact she was even holding a wooden spear to make it worse and we thought maybe she's just being a true Muganda like her Dad.
On further observation, that's when we realised she was trying to be just like Moana of Disney. The movie also titled Moana was released in 2016 by the US company.
Moana was a young village girl whose mission was to save her island village from a dark force with help of protection from the ocean that was surrounding the Island village.
In the same week, Bobi Wine's best friend also celebrated his birthday
Nubian Li, the best friend to Bobi Wine alao celebrated his birthday a few days ago where he turned 38-years-old.
Accompanied by Bobi Wine and other members of his National Unity Platform, Nubian celebrated his birthday surrounded by the ones who love him most.
He has been through a lot in the past 2 to 3 years starting from when Bobi Wine's concerts were cancelled in 2019 up to the time he was arrested from Kalangala Island and detained for several months at Kitalya Maximum Prison.
During his birthday boy speech, he thanked all his friends and family that have been there for him and concluded by stating that "the struggle continues".
