We all remember when upcoming musician Fixon Magna came out to take jabs at already established musician Fik Fameica, accusing him of not giving him credit for writing for him the very famous “Bwe Paba” song, right?
Fixon Magna was very furious, not for a very big reason but for the simple reason that he took his time to write this song for Fik but he was not even mentioned for having written the song. He did not worry about payments or whatever but he really wanted recognition for writing the song.
Fik Fameica , whom many expected to come out and try to defend himself did not say a thing and he kept his lips tightly shut. While Fixon danced around in the spotlight, Fik was silent about the entire scandal.
While speaking about his upcoming concert dubbed “King Kong Live concert” that is slated for this month on the 26th at Lugogo Cricket Oval, he has finally come out to state his side of the story regarding this issue.
Fik Fameica stated that he doesn’t need any songwriters in his life. Fameica went on to state that for all the years he has spent in the music industry, he has thrived and climbed on top solely based on his talents. Fameica notes that he has always written his own songs and has never relied on a song writer.
In his own words, he stated that he only has three songs that have been written by other people and he properly gave them their credit for the work done.
“To all the song writers out there, I don’t need you, and I’m not saying it in bad faith. Ever since I started doing music, I only have 3 songs that have been written by other people. As for the rest, they all came from my head and heart.” Said Fik Fameica.
