    NBS former news anchor  now turned politician Joyce Bagala has spoken out on why she chose to join politics.

    In an interview with Kayz of UNCUT, she said that people have been so negative about her leaving her job and yet she did her part and is now ready to move on and pursue her other dreams.
    Many had initially come out to say that a news reporter cannot do a good job in politics but she clarified that saying;

    " Some of the most successful politicians were once news reporters. Betty Nambooze and Ssemujju were news reporters. What makes them any different from me?"

    Joyce Bagala is standing for the post of Woman MP for Mityana district on the NUP card and she is standing against

     IT minister and current Woman MP for Mityana Hon.Judith Nabakooba.
    When sent to parliament, she wants to speak for the journalists because she has been one for a long time and knows the problems they go through as journalists and also represent the neglected people of Mityana. She believes she has already won because the people want someone who will bring the change.
