Following the imposition of a lockdown in the districts of Kasanda and Mubende due to the outbreak of Ebola, the Government through the Health and Education Ministries will transport learners from and to these areas back home upon the closure of term 3.
According to Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng, this is aimed at avoiding the fast spread of the Ebola Virus.
She further explained that learners who completed their PLE and UCE exams from these districts will converge at Nkoba primary school in Kasanda town and Kasenyi secondary school in Mityana on Monday 14th November.
Its from here where busses will pick them and transport them to Mityana town school in Mityana, Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal and Boma grounds in Hoima where their parents will then pick them.
Students who reside in these districts schooling from other parts of the country will all converge at Kololo Airstrip where they will be transported back home.
Other students in other classes will follow the same arrangement when they break off for holidays.
