Next Media's NBS Television decided to treat its viewers to an unforgettable Halloween experience by organizing a Halloween themed dance party.
The party was as usual hosted by Zahara Totto, who also doubles as the Uncut official co host and was graced by mix tapes from DJ Geeman.
Several dancers and artistes dressed as vampires, ghosts and demons thronged the stage, dancing to several mix tapes as they remembered the dead
Several of the Halloween costumes donned by performers were provided by Isaac MC Blessed.
Fans Turn Their Backs.
However, majority of netizens atttacked NBS TV for copying western culture and costumes instead of focusing on Ugandan themes for the Halloween celebrations.
"Halloween is for bazungu. Why not try something Ugandan . What happened to BUBU ?" Otim Paul Palz, a Facebook user asked.
"Ignorance just. Stop importing silly customs" Allan Kenneth Nyaika also shot at NBS.
Other more religious netizens criticzed the show for being a celebration of what they termed 'devilish' with some calling on the holy spirit to consume whatever the costumes portrayed.
"Holy Ghost fire burn in ashes." a shocked Ayubu Mademaga wrote.
"...no creativity mbu Halloween night. I don't know why UCC doesn't arrsst such producers." Katende wondered
"This thing looks devilish to me. I don't think it's good to celebrate it ela leero am not gonna watch. Gemazima." Kims Sheima also commented on NBS TVs posts of the event.
