Following the summoning of National Unity Platform Members of Parliament Hon. Sseggirinnya Muhammed and Hon. Ssewannyana Allan by the Masaka police over issues concerning the hightened machete killings in the region, different opposition leaders have come out to criticize government ver the move.
The Kawempe North and Makindye west constituency MPs were summoned to appear before the police next week on Monday 6th/September/2021 at 10:00 am.
This has propmted Kampala city mayor, His Lordship Elias Lukwago to come out against the government whom he claims are just looking for a way out of the whole 'bijambiya' murder triangle.
"This is total madness. Instead of the government hunting down the heartless murderers killing our innocent people in Buddu(Masaka), they're now plotting ways of escaping their duties." said Lukwago while responding to the summorning of Sseggirinnya and Ssewannyana.
