Over the weekend as South Sudan continued their independence day celebrations, there was a lot of activity on their entertainment scene that involved Ugandan musicians, Karole Kasita and Lydia Jazmine.
Both of these artistes were invited to the country to entertain South Sudanese who had just marked 10 years of independence on 9th July 2021.
Although the two were scheduled for different concerts, they found themselves boarding the same aircraft, "Uganda Airlines" from Entebbe Airport. It was on the flight that both Lydia and Karole met on their way to Juba, South Sudan.
On Sunday morning after one of her shows, Lydia Jazmine posted photos allover social media showing how she had made a fortune from stage performances on Saturday instantly declaring herself non-vulnerable as the talk of town is these days.
Many of her fans congratulated her upon the achievement but others cursed her as usual saying that she is a "show off".
A few hours later, Karole Kasita also posted showing how she refused to pick up the money that was given to her on stage and she confessed to Nabbanja, the prime minster of Uganda that she is still vulnerable and needs the 100K set aside by the Government of Uganda for vulnerable people in the current 42-day lockdown.

But do you think Mami Karole just left this money
Haha nze as me, "nze nga nze" I do not think so. Not in all the poverty that Ugandan musicians are currently swimming in can one leave that amount of money on stage.
Mind you, the South Sudanese Pound a.k.a SSP is equivalent to about 27 Ugandan shillings and therefore is valuable which deviates from what most people think.
Most people in Uganda think the SSP is of a very low value and that you need bags of South Sudanese money to just come up with Uganda's one 50K note.
