About 20 people have lost their lives in cold blood in the regions of Greater Masaka in a period of less than a week. In what's commonly known as 'bijambiya', the people in the region are in terrible fear, since unknown people moving with pangas resumed the killings.
On Wednesday night, n p;dy lady was mercilessly killed as she picked food from her Kitchen. This is one of the many unsolved cases that have left the people in the area and the whole nation at large to raise questions towards the security officials.
Yesterday, MPs from Greater Masaka led by Leader of Opposition Hon. Mathias Mpuuga addressed the media in regards to the issue and sent serious warnings to the government.
In his words, Mpuuga ordered the government to send a team of criminal investigators in a period of 24 hours to sort out the issue and rid the residents of terror.
If the government should fail, Mpuuga said they were to tell people to take on matters in their own hands and defend themselves, because the government would have failed its citiizens. As of now, a team if investigators has been sent to the region to begin the search for these cold-blooded murderers. Let's hope this time round, the criminals will FINALLY be caught.
