NBS TV Bows to Pressure, Shifts Uncut Show from 7:45 to 10PM
    • October 26, 2021 • 3 years ago

NBS Television management has finally agreed to shift it's controversial gossip show, NBS Uncut to ten pm.

The show, which has always been airing at 7:45pm will now henceforth air at 10pm on both Sanyuka TV and NBS TV, both of which fall under Next Media services.

Taking to social media, Sanyuka TV management shared a photo of Kayz and Zahara Totto urging viewers to catch them at 10pm starting tomorrow.

"10PM has been redefined... starting tomorrow, they will be back hotter than before." read a social media post by Sanyuka TV.

    Background.

The new development is rooted in Uganda Communication Commission's recent directive to all stations to air gossip shows only when children are deeply asleep

In a letter circulated to all media houses, UCC noted how gossip show presenters dress indecently and use uncouth language on top of circulating false information, something that could harm children's moral values

The directive came after singer OS Suna complained that NBS TV's Lord Kayz (Isaac Kawalya) was using the station to slander his name.

Despite being apprehended and put behind bars, Kayz vowed to continue where he started from.
