NRM offices closed due to covid-19
    • June 16, 2021 • 3 years ago

Yesterday Uganda registered its highest number of covid-19 deaths in a single day, which was 49. This took the national death tally to 508!

With cases constantly increasing countrywide and health facilities overwhelmed with patients, different stakeholders are starting to suspend operations in a move to curb the spread and these include political parties.

Forum for Democratic change was the first to close its countrywide offices and yesterday the ruling party, National Resistance Movement (NRM) followed suit.

While speaking to journalists, the party spokesperson Emmanuel Dombo said they've done so to help reduce the spread of covid-19. "Our offices are going to be closed for the public and only accessible to the party officials.

Those who wish to get information can reach us through our phone numbers. This is for the good of us all in this trying situation." He said.
