About the Pearl of Africa star search show
The show started in April of this year during its launch at Kingdom Kampala. Its aim was to discover and promote brand new musical talent from all corners of Uganda and its from here that over 2000 applicants sent in their applications both physically and via online means.
These applicants were filtered in several episodes of the Pearl of Africa star search with many dropped off the show every week until the final show that had less than 10 contestants.
The final judges of the show were also changed on the last day with Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Ragga Dee and others joining the panel which earlier had only Navio, Joanita Kawalya, Cindy Sanyu and Bismark Amumpire.
