President Museveni's state address leave Ugandans more hopeless and heartbroken with no solution to the high standards of living.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has left very many Ugandans heart broken and shaking their heads in disbelief in accordance to his recent Nation address. When the address was announced earlier on, many believed a final solution for the high prices of commodities was finally discovered and they expected him to address such issues. Some citizens expected him to address the issue of security since there is an increase in crime rates of late.

The president however left very many people disappointed in accordance to his address where instead of providing a worthy solution for the fuel prices in the country, he only gave a solution that seems to be more impossible to attain for the Ugandans.

    President

According to president Museveni who left many Ugandans heartbroken in regards to the high community prices that are choking their pockets,  the only solution to the rising fuel prices is not giving subsidies to the citizens or setting a maximum price législation for the fuel in order to avoid exploitation of the citizens  but Ugandans should instead opt for electric vehicles instead of fuel vehicles( This is similar to Marie Antoinette's statement to the masses way back in the Bourbon Monarchy "If you can not afford bread, buy cakes")

To emphasize his point, Museveni mentioned that  electric vehicles are cleaner and easy to maintain and therefore Ugandans should not cry of the high prices but look for cash to buy electric vehicles which the Kiira Vehicle assembling plant in Jinja are set to manufacture. Keep in mind that fuel is cheaper than an electric car and masses are crying out because they can not afford fuel anymore and yet here comes their leader, looked up to, telling them to instead opt for something more expensive.

    President Museveni

“Electric vehicles are cleaner and cheap to maintain, that is what I am told. This pressure to use the little money we have to subsidies problems, we would rather use it to get out of problems that we have”- Said President Museveni.

Présidént Museveni further advised Ugandans to learn how to economise the little they have and opt for what they can afford later  instead of choking on high priced commodities like Bread, Rice among others. According to the president, he has not eaten bread for a long time, and he’s very okay and not complaining about it like most Ugandans are.

The address in other words did not provide solutions to pressing issues of the public and just like the one before it, citizens have rendered it useless and very deviating from the issues at hand.
