Following a stampede that led to the death of 10 people at an end of year concert at Freedom City, Police have arrested Mr Abbey Musinguzi, populary known as Abtex - the promoter of the said event!
While addressing journalists on Monday morning at the Naguru Police headquarters on Monday, Fred Enanga confirmed Musinguzi's arrest and another search for all the other organizers.
"We have arrested the promoter of that new year concert as we continue the hunt for the other organizers and managers of the same concert" Enanga said!
Prior to the fateful happening, the event was going on well until the nights MC made an announcement for the revelers to move out and watch the fireworks displays marking the entry into the new year.
Enanga said that they are preferring charges of negligence against Abtex, the concert promoter aswell as considering a negligent act against parents of children below 18 years who died in the same incident!
