Rt.Hon speaker Jacob Oulanya accused of stealing 173 million dollars from World Bank.
    • May 26, 2021 • 4 years ago

The new speaker of parliament Rt. Hon speaker Jacob Oulanya just recently won an election against Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

One day into the celebrations for him, new developments have been made.

A city lawyer whose name has been withheld has taken a case to the high court concerning the new speaker.

Jacob Oulanya has been accused of embezzlement.

The facts of the case state that Jacob Oulanya along with two others borrowed 173 million dollars from the world Bank back in 2016.

They claimed this money was to help the poor women, children and unemployed youth develop themselves.

This money however went into their personal bank accounts and rather was used to develop themselves and not the poor women, children and youth.

We cannot have a liar and thief to lead our honourable parliament.

These were the words written in the letter from the lawyer.

A summoning letter from the high court has been sent to Oulanya's office.

Many believe this is a tactic by his opponent Kadaga who lost in the just concluded speakership election.

I can smell Kadaga all over this fake news. She is probably jealous and wants to make the Oulanya look bad in the public, have him investigated and probably kicked out of parliament as a speaker.

These were the words of a one Otim Patrick on social media.

Neither the parliament nor has the speaker's team said anything on this matter.

We shall definitely keep you updated on this developing story.
