Stop blaming Museveni for poverty - Rosemary Ssenninde
    • April 27, 2022 • 3 years ago

While addressing vendors in Bugolobi market earlier today, former Minister for lower primary Rosemary Ssenninde begged Ugandans to stop blaming president Museveni and the governmentt for the high rate of poverty among Ugandans.

In her speech, Ssenninde who is now the National Resistance Movement (NRM) national mobilization director stated that there's no way a person who gets money and spends it through sport betting can start blaming the govenment for causing poverty.

"Long time ago before even the coming of the NRM, poverty existed as the holy books tell us. Let not these politicians deceive you into believing that govenment is responsible for the poverty in the country. Social media stories are sometimes also not true, be careful of what information you consume." she said.

Ssenninde said this a few weeks after a govenment officialcame out to announce that poverty was to become a crime and that every Ugandan ought to be rich. With the commodity and fuel prices skyrocketing every day that goes by, are Ugandans not prison bound?
