There's nothing wrong with me appointing my family members - Prime Minister Nabbanja
    • October 7, 2021 • 4 years ago

About two weeks back, various newspapers revealed to the public how the office of the prime minister was filled with relatives of the Prime Minister, which left many heads turning.

Well, with the current government facing increased accusations of practicing Nepotism over the years, this wouldn't have come as a shocker but guess what, Ugandans were not going to let Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja who's the current prime minister go away with it so easily.

The prime minister has since faced a lot of criticism for 'not being different from her predecessors', who according to them, have been gifting their relatives with big positions irrespective of whether they qualify or not.

Hon. Nabbanjah earlier today decided to break the ice about the matter and stated that there's totally nothing wrong with her hiring her relatives, stating that she can always leave with them when her term comes to an end.

She said this while meeting local government leaders in Mbale, where she advised them to focus on serving the people and not indulge in unnecessary activities. Well, those who were busy castigating the prime minister, she has answered. Satisfied?
