The Uganda Communications Commission has suspended Bukedde TV's Full Blast show hosted by Godfrey Seguya over unprofessionalism.

According to a statement issued by the commission, the show's host, Godfrey Seguya failed to display professionalism and ability to guide guests during a heated discussion between Full Figure and Pr. Martin Sempa which almost resulted into a physical fight.

The statement also states that the producer of the Bukedde TV 2 show and it's presenter failed to exhibit professionalism required by journalists.

"The host or presenter of the program, Mr. Godfrey Sseguya, failed to exercise the required professionalism and ability to control or guide the guests during the program, which resulted into a physical confrontation between Pastor Ssempa and Ms. Jennipher Namutebi Nakangubi,” UCC noted.

”He fell below the professional standards and ethics expected of journalists as required under the Press and Journalist Act Cap 105. The host, Producer and Bukedde TV 2 exhibited gross unprofessionalism when they failed to control and guide the guests to the extent of letting the program degenerate into abusive verbal exchanges and physical altercations.” the statement further reads.

UCC further directed that Full Blast show be stopped for now. Failure to do so would lead to the revocation of the stations incense.

”Please be advised that should Bukedde TV 2 fail and or refuse to adhere to the aforesaid directives, the Commission shall proceed to institute other appropriate regulatory sanctions against Bukedde TV 2, including but not limited to suspension of your broadcast license without further notice.” UCC warned.

    Background.

Recently, Jenifer Nakanguubi alias Full Figure and Pastor Martin Sempa were hosted for a show on Bukedde TV2 entertainment show, Full Blast.

Tension started rising when Fill Figure alleged that all kinds of dirty deeds originate from Makerere but Sempa quickly interrupted, warning Figure off Makerere claiming she has no moral authority to discuss such a respectable institution.

From this point, the discussion lost direction and when, in a separate topic, Full Figure sided with pastor Kakande and Bugingo, Sempa advised her to repent and be saved.

Sempa further offered to pray for her and cast demons that are disturbing her life. However, when he started praying for her, a scuffle ensued in which a furious Figure almost thumped Sempa.

The two were however quickly separated but the show host called it a night and adjourned.
