Recently, Mululi signed with newly-promoted Fufa Big League team Buhimba Saints in Hoima, but he lost his battle with illness while receiving treatment at Kasana Hospital in Luweero on Saturday. While the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed, the club promised to provide more information as it becomes available.

Mululi's football journey included stints at several clubs, including Kitara, Police, and Jinja North, where he played last year. His former coach, Sadiq Ssempigi, remembered him as a player whose "passion, spirit, and kindness touched many lives."

One of Mululi's career highlights came in February 2021 when he was named Pilsner Uganda Premier League Player of the Month while playing for Police. Tragically, he was recognized alongside former Vipers coach Fred Kajoba, who also passed away earlier this year.
