For close to two weeks now, the name Fred Kajubi Lumbuye has been common in many corridors of the country. The spark was a rumor that the blogger had been arrested in Turkey and was set to be deported pack to the country.

However, since then, the clear whereabouts of Lumbuye are not known. Nevertheless, it was confirmed by the Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga that Lumbuye was not in the country.

Unconfirmed news have been circulating on social media, some pronouncing the man dead, while others asserting how he's in a very critical condition. Hashtags have also been created, callling for "immediate" release of 'Mr. Kiggula luggi' as he's commonly known.

Earlier on today, minister for external affairs Hon. Okello Oryem briefed the country on the issuea regarding Lumbuye and his future, where he advised Ugandans to concentrate on working and stop asking for Lumbuye.

"Lumbuye is alive and we have concerned parties following his case. When the right time comes, he will be brought to court and start attending to his crimes. For now, Ugandans should concentrate on working and stop asking about Lumbuye." said Hon. Oryem.
