Police Spokesperson CF Fred Enanga has come out to clear the air about the ongoing arrests of suspects after the recent bombings around the country. According to Enanga, many politicians are accusing police of 'intentionally' arresting people belonging to a particular religion, political affiliation or ethnicity, which he strongly refutes.
'No body has been arrested because of belonging to a political party, or ethnicity or religion. The people who're being picked are those ones partaking in acts of violence against Ugandans. So we're not against any political party or religous sector like some of these politicians were debting about.' Enanga Said.
He went on to also that all police operations are intelligence based and very discriminate and that the suspects arrested are the ones who lead the police to their leaders who mobilize them to carry out criminal acts against Ugandans.
This has come after corridor complaints that whenever capital offences like treason, bombings, etra judicial killings and the like happen, a group of people always ends up being targeted and many get arrested, tried in court and sentenced to jail for some good time. The best example would be the recent list of suspects connrcted to the CPS and Parliamentary avenue bombings. Like one wise man once said, 'If you know you know"
