When Lil Pazo made a harsh come back with his now famous Enkudi song, many Ugandans welcomed him back like a star honestly.
Lil Pazo, having been a musician for quite a long time had not experienced such love from his fans during the time he used to sing music which to many people’s standards is considered descent and educative. Well, it was after he changed the approach that he managed to catch people’s attention Country wide.
According to Lil Pazo Ugandans no longer want to listen to educative music because if they are searching for an education, they can easily get it in a school or a seminary. People listen to music to unwind and relieve stress, which is why they totally go for songs that are termed as nonsensical.
Lil Pazo even stated that if one starts acting serious in the music industry, they will not see good things because Ugandans are unserious people who like unserious things. Well, in Jacob Omutuuze's perspective, Lil Pazo is about to destroy his brand after rebranding with his new song Enkudi. Jacob believes that this approach may seem profitable in the beginning for Lil Pazo but it will cost him greatly in the nearest future and he will have no way of turning back.
According to Jacob, Lil Pazo has the ability to sit down and write meaningful music but unfortunately Ugandans have failed to recognize his talent hence making him divert to bubble gum music. According to Jacob, Lil Pazo is now diverting all this talent to meaningless songs like Enkudi. Citing that having such a label is not good, he stated it will be very difficult for Pazo to do away with the Nkudi label.
Jacob gave examples of David Lutalo trying to do away with the label of ‘kapapala' which was a hit song on his end and also Dr. Hilderman trying to do away with the label of “Double bed Mazongoto" which he also struggled to get off his neck. According to Jacob, such labels are difficult to do away with in the music industry.
“You can see how David Lutalo struggled to get the label of Kapapala off his back. Even Dr. Hilderman struggled with the label of Double Bed Mazongoto. Now everywhere Lil Pazo goes, he is referred to as Enkudi. He already erased the label of Genda Ogule emotoka. This is bad.” Stated Jacob.
According to Jacob, musicians always strive to leave a legacy behind and this is where one’s brand matters the most. He stated that this is why people like Jose Chameleone have built a solid career and yet here is Lil Pazo trying to kill his brand with songs like Enkudi. He emphasized that once a musician has good music, they always make their comebacks even when it is later in life.
“The likes of Jose Chameleone built their brand. They will always stay relevant no matter how time flies. Look at the Blu*3 with their come back after years. It is entirely because of their good music. They built a brand. This is what Lil Pazo has to focus on, not trending for a while.” He said
