On Wednesday afternoon, President Museveni asked President William Ruto and the Kenyans for forgiveness.
His act of apology followed an uproar caused by controversial tweets made by his son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba!
In a statement on his Twitter, Museveni further apologized to East Africans for his sons behavior.
"I ask our Kenyan brothers and sisters to forgive us for tweets sent by General Muhoozi, former Commander of Land Forces here, regarding the election matters in that great country (Kenya)" said Museveni!
"Its not correct for public officers, be they civilian or military to comment or interfere in any way in the internal affairs of brother countries." he added.
On Monday, Muhoozi tweeted his way into trouble by suggesting he needed only two weeks to capture Nairobi! Within the same regard, Museveni dropped Muhoozi, his only sn as commader of Land Forces but promoted him to General.
Following his rollercoaster tweets, alot of mixed feelings as reactions outed on social media something that caused Ugandas Ministry of Foreign Affairs to release a statement in that regard.
This statement was further followed by Wednesdays Presidential Apology!
