Winnie Nwagi will be the second Ugandan female musician to stage a concert at Cricket Oval after Cindy Sanyu in March 2020. The Swangz Avenue singer is set to stage her maiden concert on Friday, 9th September 2022 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

When her fellow artiste and label mate Azawi held a successful concert, many fans pressured Nwagi into staging her maiden concert as well. They argued that Azawi was just a newbie yet Nwagi has been in the industry for over 7 years. Her fans could not take it lightly that Azawi was stealing the spotlight meant for the "Fire baby".

The self-proclaimed 'Fire baby' has been singing for over 7 years with very many mega hits attached to  her name. She was asked why she had not staged a maiden concert yet many artists in her category had done so. Nwagi only mentioned that there was a time for everyone and she said maybe it was not yet her time to shine but she would definitely also shine at the right time.

Guess what? The time is nigh. With the concert close up, Nwagi even gets goose bumps thinking about the due date. She mentioned that this is a wonderful experience but she can not stop the shivers of anxiety that attack her when she thinks of her concert.

While speaking during an interview, Winnie Nwagi said she fears concerts. She mentioned that is is her major reason as to why she had never thought of staging her maiden concert before. This however came as a bit of shocking news considering that Winnie Nwagi is known for being bold and she is usually referred to as a mountain.

“I fear concerts. I was always scared. That is why it did not come earlier,” Winnie Nwagi mentioned.
