Musician Apass is rather angry with people that have come out to state that the recent music album he released was nothing but a flop.
When Apass came out and released an album of 40 tracks. This Album was dubbed BAGONZA. The album listening party was held at The Villa Bar and Restaurant in Bukoto, Kampala on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. APass claimed that no one has ever produced a music album with 40 songs on it hence making this an achievement of a life time for him.
To his dismay however, this album was not received as he had anticipated and this saw many music critics coming out to throw shade at him, stating that among all the 40 songs, not even one song became a hit after he released this 40 track album.
During an Interview with NBS TV during the After 5 show, Apass stated that for people that understand his music, the album was too good for them and it was therefore well received by a certain audience (the audience that truly understands his music).
For those that did not understand his music however, he stated that they clearly have nothing to listen to when it comes to his album since they will not be able to understand a thing or even relate to the music that is on the BAGONZA album.
This is where Apass stated that even when you give a pig a wedding cake, it will never know the value of the wedding cake and will never even put it in its mouth as it is only used to eating rotten potatoes for lunch. He stated that pigs wont be able to tell how good something is if they are not used to consuming them.
Apass likened this situation to what happened with his album, something that many people call a flop. Apass stated that for people that are used to listening to trashy music, you can never give them good music and expect them to take it in or listen to it. This is simply because they are used to the rubbish they have been listening to on a daily but for those that understand real music, they do and always will listen to his songs.
“Even if you get wedding cake and give it to a pig, the pig will not know that this is cake which is meant to be cut and placed onto a plate , well sliced and eaten with a fork. NO. Pigs are used to eating potatoes. You can’t expect them to eat cake. So you just serve cake to people that are used to eating it. The same goes for my music. There are people that understand it and love it. It’s simply not for everyone.” Apass stated.
