The Beefeater Womens Day Cocktail at Naguru Skyz Hotel brought together influential women from various industries to celebrate achievements, discuss gender equality, and empower female leadership. Organized by Talent Africa Group, the exclusive event featured insightful panel discussions, cultural performances, and networking opportunities, reinforcing the importance of women's voices and contributions across different sectors.

The prestigious Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail took center stage at the luxurious Naguru Skyz Hotel on International Women’s Day, bringing together an elite circle of influential women from diverse sectors. From entertainment, creative arts, and tourism to politics, media, and corporate leadership, the invite-only affair was a true reflection of women’s impact across industries.

Organized and hosted by Talent Africa Group, the highly anticipated annual event provided a powerful platform for celebrating achievements, addressing challenges, and fostering meaningful conversations under the theme “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality.” This year’s edition stood out for its depth, vibrancy, and strong message of empowerment.

Draped in elegant shades of orange—a color symbolizing hope and a brighter, more inclusive future—attendees engaged in inspiring discussions about gender equality and the strides women continue to make. The event was hosted by Sylvia Namutebi Allibhai, a Director at Talent Africa Group and a former beauty queen, whose eloquence and passion set the tone for an evening of enlightenment and celebration.

In her opening remarks, Sylvia emphasized the importance of amplifying women’s voices and recognizing their contributions, urging attendees to embrace their full potential. “Remember, your voice matters, your story matters, and your dreams matter,” she stated, a sentiment that resonated throughout the night.

A power-packed panel discussion featured trailblazing women who have made remarkable contributions to their respective fields. Among the panelists were, Lilly Ajarova – CEO of Uganda Tourism Board and Senior Presidential Advisor on Tourism, Hon. Rachel Magoola – MP and singer with the legendary Afrigo Band, Halima Namakula – Renowned musician and entrepreneur, Joanita Kawalya – Celebrated singer and women’s rights activist, Anne Kansiime – Award-winning comedian and actress, Dorah Mwima – Entrepreneur and former Miss Uganda

Other notable panelists included Mami Deb, Sham Tyra, Eleanor Nabwiso, Karolyn Kash, Atong Amos, and Sandra Cope, each bringing unique insights into their respective fields.

A Women in Business panel, powered by Entrepreneurs’ Organization Uganda (EO Uganda), highlighted the role of female entrepreneurs in shaping the economy, with discussions centered around financial independence, leadership, and breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated spaces.

Beyond discussions, the event seamlessly blended culture and entertainment, adding a refreshing touch to the celebrations. Music lovers were treated to a soulful live performance by Jackie Chandiru, whose powerful vocals left the audience mesmerized. A thrilling dance showcase by Dance with Valentino further elevated the evening’s energy, emphasizing the role of art in storytelling and empowerment.

The star-studded guest list featured some of Uganda’s leading female musicians, including Lilian Mbabazi, Nina Roz, Lydia Jazmine, and Rachael K. Renowned dancers like Rita Dancehall, Dance Mamweta, and Cathy Patra added an extra layer of vibrancy with their electrifying performances. The presence of beauty queens, including Miss Uganda Natasha Nyonyonzi and a lineup of former titleholders, added glamour to the occasion.

To complement the elegance of the evening, attendees explored stylish pop-up shops hosted by Fix by Oringa, Queen Ma, and Gosh Glam, which showcased curated fashion and beauty collections. The shopping experience allowed guests to indulge in luxury while supporting women-led businesses.

The Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail has evolved into a hallmark event, championing the cause of women’s empowerment, networking, and collaboration. The success of the 2025 edition was made possible through the support of Talent Africa Group, Entrepreneurs’ Organization Uganda (EO Uganda), Protea Naguru Skyz Hotel, and Beefeater Gin.

As the event continues to grow, it remains a beacon of hope, reminding women in every sector that their voices matter and that their contributions shape the future. With each passing year, the Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail reaffirms its place as a transformative platform, celebrating achievements while igniting crucial conversations that drive real change.
