Uganda’s vocalist Carol Nantongo has revealed that she is not willing to rekindle her friendship with fellow singer Lydia Jazmine following their recent fall out.
With no shadow of doubt, it is a tag of war to find female musicians in the Ugandan music industry being close to each other.Jazmine and Carol are among a few artists who tried to change the rhythm of the story by becoming best friends.
They used to hang out with each other and at some point in time, it was even reported that they once stayed together when Jazmine had problems after thieves ambushed her house and took off with most of her property.
Unfortunately, their friendship went south after just a few months.
The two bitterly split as the year 2023 was coming to the end, with the reason behind their fall out kept under the wraps.
Reports regarding their split went viral following the fact that Carol Nantongo had unfollowed Lydia Jazmine on Instagram for reasons best known to her.
It is not clear what exactly happened between the artists although it is alleged that the bitter feelings towards each other is a result of a whooper war. It was rumoured that they shared the same man who used to shower them with expensive gifts for some time.
Furthermore, it was alleged that Carol was the first to get involved with this yet-to-be-identified man. And Jazmine later followed suit.
When the former Golden Band singer found out that the “Melanin Queen” is doing this behind her back, she decided to sever tie. Now, the Kameese hit maker says that for the two become friends again, it will need a prayer from a man of God from planet Venus.
Carol bases her reasoning on the fact that she is not the kind of person who is going to come out and say anything about their friendship.
According to the angelic voiced star singer, she is okay with people believing whatever they hear about them. She however said she is not going to repeat the mistake again. They will never be friends as she was stabbed in the back by Lydia Jazmine after being there for her.
“I can’t lie, we were best friends but with whatever happened we will never be friends again. I can’t repeat the mistake twice unless there is something going on within me,”she while talking to a local youtuber.
