According to Sasha Ferguson, if a marriage turns toxic to the point of no redemption, it is always okay to walk away.

Lately, social media has been abuzz because of the alleged separation between media personality Canary Mugume and wife Sasha Ferguson. Very many online in-laws have made this the everyday topic most especially on social media platforms like X.

Well, there was even a time recently when Red pepper published that the Mugumes were going through a seperation, breaking their two year long marriage because of toxicity, despite the fact that they now have two healthy children together.

Neither Canary Mugume nor Sasha Ferguson had previously come out to either deny or confirm these allegations despite their social media presence. They have successfully ignored every tabloid and every individual that has talked about their alleged break up so a section of netizens was convinced that the pair was not actually separating and all these words were just assumptions by naysayers.

Well, things seem to be getting a little complicated as Sasha Ferguson has come out and spoken on marriage and social media in a video that is currently making rounds on social media. According to Sasha Ferguson, marriage involves two people and no one else is meant to intervene because while taking vows, no one else aided the married partners in that.

“In my perspective, I believe marriage is for two people. The moment you take vows  no one helps you to do that. You certainly know what you are doing, you know the person you are choosing to spend the rest of your life with and you know exactly what you are getting yourself into.” She states.

Sasha goes on to highlight that with marriage comes grave commitment as you are bound not only to love each other  but care for each other, support each other and even protect each other even on days when you don’t feel the urge to.

“The moment you take the vows, you are meant to take care of each other and protect each other even when you feel like you don’t want to!” she states.

Sasha  states that she also believes that when problems arise, you could always do your best to seek out for help and try as much as you can to save your marriage. According to her, it is a matter of resilience and finding a trustworthy person to help you through such a situation.

“If the situation turns sour, don’t die alone with this. You can always talk to someone. There are very many people out there that could listen to you, offer advise and keep everything confidential. There are counsellors as well. If there is a chance to fix your marriage, do just that.” She states.

However, Sasha states that when the relationship is beyond redemption, there is no use of holding on to it as you could end up in the worst state. She believes that there is no need to tell the whole Country that your fighting but if your marriage cant be saved, it’s okay  leave.

“But if you try and the worst still comes to the worst, you can leave. Marriage is not a life prison. There is no need for you to stay and put up with pain while looking okay in public. If your marriage is toxic and yet beyond redemption, you can pack up and leave.” She states.

Online in-laws are now stored up as they have started concluding that this is the last nail in the coffin. They have taken this message from Sasha as a confirmation of the end of her marriage with Canary Mugume. Do you share this view?
