According to Zari Hassan, her dream while growing up was getting married to a very rich man. As a young girl, she always wanted the easy life so she was inclined to walking down the aisle endowed in gold ornaments and expensive attires with her incredibly rich hubby waiting at the altar with a smile on his face.

Zari disclosed this piece of information in an interview with BBC Swahili, saying she always envisioned herself living a very luxurious life without having to work hard for her money. She then  revealed that as she grew older, she realized the life she truly desired needed her to work hard in order to achieve it.

“I used to think I will get married to a rich man, wear gold, but I realized it is not as  easy as it sounds. When I realized I wanted a good life, I got the motivation to say I don’t really come from a rich family, but I should work hard to create a rich family for myself.” She stated

Zari stated that her desire for an easy life suddenly turned into her personal motivation, more like a driving force to her success. She realized that in order to have a good life, she had to do everything and not sit and wait for a rich man to sweep her from her feet.

“I said I wanted a good life, and that has been my motivation in life the work hard for a good life.” She said.
