There has always been an argument that there are musicians that are fond of releasing vulgar music in the Ugandan music industry.
One of these has undoubtedly been Gravity Omutujju, who has always come out to defend his music stating that it is far from being vulgar. According to Gravity, it is Ugandans that have a vulgar way of perceiving his songs so it is always their minds playing tricks on them.
Ziza Bafana is also one of the musicians that is considered one who releases songs with very vulgar lyrics. According to Bafana however, his music is not vulgar but rather, it is a person's own interpretation that can make it sound vulgar. He has therefore defended himself, stating that it is people that give his songs sexual content but not himself.
He stated that his music has always been of good quality but people that listen to it make it seem so vulgar.
“My songs have never been vulgar. I always put a lot of time into my lyrics and when people listen to them, everyone takes their own message out of it. So it’s not me. It’s the people who interpret them differently,” he said while speaking on the You tube channel of Brayz Media.
In addition to this, Ziza Bafana was asked about his view on City tycoon Lwasa Emmanuel who has currently been under the spotlight for running bankrupt. According to Bafana however, people can run bankrupt and still make it out of that and flourish yet again.
Bafana expressed that he is quite sure Lwasa will make it back to the top since he has ever handled money and he knows very many ways to land his hands on money, more than people that have never been rich before. According to Bafana, if one has been able to get money before, that means they can always get money as long as they put their minds to it.
“Lwasa knows how he got his wealth. It’s not like he has never had money. He had money before and therefore, he can work himself up again and be successful just like before” Ziza Bafana said.
Bafana stated that attaining wealth is only difficult for people that have never been wealthy but for those that have tasted money before, it is easy to redeem their wealth.
“If Lwasa had never been rich before, that would be worrisome but he is a man that has swam in wealth before. The biggest worry should be towards people who have never been rich because those ones have no idea how to make the money,” he emphasized.
