It has been confirmed through Singer Jose Chameleone’s father Gerald Mayanja that his son is battling a strange stomach illness that has had him bedridden in the last few weeks. This illness is not new because since last year, Chameleone's health has been on and off as he visited the hospital quite often.
“Chameleone has been sick in the past months. When he moved to America, the illness became worse. He is now so sick, he is bedridden. He has been having complications in his stomach but he is currently receiving treatment.” He said
Jose Chameleone has not gone entirely silent however. Recently, he made a social media post where he thanked fellow musician Gravity Omutujju for giving him a special call. Gravity, after speaking to Chameleone then came out and said he learned of Chameleone’s illness after he gave him a call
According to Gravity, they spoke about life, and then Jose revealed to him how he was ill and undergoing operations. Gravity therefore came out and asked Chameleone’s fans and the country to pray for him.
“As a country, we need to pray for Chameleone. His friends, and everybody, wherever you are, pray for Chameleone because he is terribly ill. At the time I gave him a call, he was heading for an operation,” Gravity said.

He further stated that there is no bad blood between him and Chameleone because he already apologized to him about any kind of misunderstandings they ever had and Chameleone forgave him.
“I apologized to him for everything I might have wronged him in the past and he forgave me saying these are earthly things. Artists, please pray for him, support him. We would not need to lose a person who is so legendary. He is one of the few people who have raised the Ugandan music industry. ”Gravity Omutujju said
