On Wednesday 12th/May/2021, Uganda will be witnessing the swearing in of president elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in his 6th term in office. However, much as it's going to be a working day, information minister Judith Nabakooba has come out to call off work on that day.
While addressing the media about an hour back, minister Nabakooba informed the public that 12th/May will be a public holiday to allow smooth running of the swearing in ceremony The ceremony will be held at the independence grounds, Kololo airstrip and about 12 heads of state are expected to grab the function.
This comes after UPDF spokesperson Brig. Flavia Byekwaso came out weeks ago and talked about people planning to disrupt the swearing in ceremony. She had placards having "TAJJA KULAYIRA" written on them and warned the people behind them that they'll be arrested.
Another public holiday on he middle of the week. Isn't Uganda such a beautiful country ????
