On Monday morning, the Ministry of Health confirmed 9 new cases of Ebola in he greater Kampala Region.
The development brought the total number of cases in the region to 14 within a space of 48 hours!
Among the new cases, 7 of them are from the same family from the area of Masanafu and another health worker together with his wife and all together are contacts of the fatal case who came from Kassanda district and passed on in Mulago hospital.
The outbreak of this Sudan variant of Ebola virus disease was first confirmed on September 20th in Mubende district before later spreading to other neigboring areas of Kassanda, Bunyangabu, Kyegegwa and Kagadi.
According to the Sunday Heath ministry report, the outbreak had solar infected 75 people and killed 28.
