NTV Uganda has officially appointed renowned actress Stella Nante as the new host of the popular morning show, Mwasuze Mutya.
The show which also airs on Spark Tv was originally hosted by Faridah Nakazibwe. However, in October 2023, Nakazibwe silently resigned from NTV after 17 years of dedicated service.
In fact, she aired her very last Mwasuze Mutya show on Friday 27th September 2023.
The news regarding her sudden resignation from the Serena based station came with a lot of buzz as many wondered why Nakazibwe had left the media outlet without throwing her a farewell party for the 17 years she had served at the station.

Speculations even started making rounds claiming that she could be headed to the Next Media Park since we have over the years seen several media personalities ditch Serena and head to Naguru.
Other reports came out suggesting that Nakazibwe had almost completed her move from Serena to Masengere but somehow the deal stalled.
At some point, it was also reported that NTV was eyeing BBS Terefayina and actress sensational Diana Nabantazi as Faridah's replacement. This however rrmained in rumors.
Veteran radio and Tv personality Ruth Kalibbala instead took the job. She of course used to sit in when Faridah Nakazibwe was away.
After serving for about 7 months, Kalibbala signed out from NTV masuze in April this very year.
The news concerning Kalibbala quitting the show was shared by Kasuku who is her close friend and former co-host on Dembe FM’s Twezimbe show that always aired from Monday to Friday on a daily.
He made the revelation as he disclosed that they are planning on starting a show that would air daily on Kasuku Live YouTube channel proposing a time between 10 am to 2 pm. Her resignation meant that the station had to do whatever it takes to get the replacement.
Yesterday, NTV has been hinting on their social media about revealing their new host. They used Spice Diana as a distraction while introducing their new team member this morning. This surprise has made fans and followers very excited to see what Stella will add to the show.
Stella Nante has already begun her duties on the show today, with singer spice Diana as her first guest.
Stella Nante is both an actress and an award-winning director known for her roles in Ugandan TV shows like ‘Deception,’ ‘Second Chance,’ and ‘Honourables.’ These shows were supported by NTV. She is also a motivational speaker.
Tv enthusiasts can now look forward to an exciting new chapter with Stella as the host of NTV Mwasuze Mutya.
