News reaching our nowviba desk shows that a Helicopter belonging to the Uganda People's Defense Air force (UPDAF) has crashed during a training mission a few hours ago. The jet ranger AF302 that was carrying two people went down in the district of Gomba, Uganda, killing both occupants instantly.
The Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF) spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire made an official communication about the crash through his Twitter account,
@UPDFspokesperson and said.” We regret to inform that a UPDAF jet ranger on a training mission had crashed. It had two crew members. Sadly, no one survived. And investigation into the cause has started. Condolences to their families and the entire UPDF fraternity.”
Helicopter crash has become a sensitive topic all over the world after the tragic death of basketball star Kobe Bryant who died in a Helicopter crash along with eight others in Calabasas, California.
