Actress Tracy Kababiito has been removed from the cast of one of the hottest TV shows in Uganda right about now.
The TV show is called Sanyu and it was first aired on DSTV's Pearl Magic Prime Channel, early this year in a bid to revamp the Ugandan movie industry.
Tracy was acting the lead role in Sanyu as a rural teenage girl who had to leave her family and education behind to do a maid's job for a complex, wealthy urban family, where she falls for the young son of the house.
In this case, a Pirrra Sematimba maid kind of thing but in reverse hehe..
Why was Tracy Dropped from the Sanyu Series
According to Multichoice Uganda, the company that is associated with DSTV, they say she failed to reach an agreement with them that was favourable for both parties to proceed, therefore dropping her from the cast and replacing her with Catherine Namugenyi.
This came as a huge suprise to many fans that had already developed a lot of love for her character because she really knew how to act the young and humble parts of the script.
Besides Sanyu, changes were also made to another TV show on the same channel, called "Prestige". This show airs on Pearl Magic Prime from Monday to Friday at 8.30pm.
In Prestige, Nana Kagga who plays the role of Jazmine was also axed from the TV series over failure to reach agreeable terms with Pearl Magic and she was replaced by Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke.
