At the end of last last week (9th June) during the second day of the G7 summit hosted in Canada where leaders of the most powerful countries in the world meet, Winnie Byanyima got the handshake of her lifetime.
Leave these local presidential handshakes people always enjoy from President Museveni, hers was on an international level.
Winnie got an opportunity to shake hands with a sitting US president Mr.Donald Trump during the Gender Equality Advisory Council sitting which she belongs to as one of the female members who was appointed there by the Canadian Government and mind you , she was also sitting next to Theresa May, the British Prime Minister.Byanyima on the same table with Trump(Right) and May(Left)
Byanyima's opportunities keep getting brighter because she is the Executive director of Oxfam , an international organisation that is determined to change the world by mobilizing the power of people against poverty
Now we can say that she has the most powerful job and status as a Ugandan living abroad and her husband Besigye must be proud of her every other day and the only Ugandan she can be compared to is Hon. Sam Kuteesa who was a United Nations President for one year.
