Biswanka arrested for swindling fellow singer's money

The latest on the grapevine indicates that rising star singer Derrick Biswanka, popularly known under his mononym Biswanka has been arrested.

According to reports, Biswanka is currently facing legal trouble due to accusations of mishandling funds meant for a collaboration with another up-and-coming craftsman.

 A video circulating online shows Biswanka looking distressed alongside a friend, hinting at the money-related issues that led to his arrest.

 The situation has escalated with Biswanka openly criticizing veteran artist Bebe Cool, calling him a "faded artiste" and questioning his authority to judge other musicians.

Biswanka has released popular songs like "Rest of My Life", "Ontunulemu", "My Valentine", "Nsemberera", and "Sikyeguya".

He was previously fired from Moon Avenue Management due to disrespect and constant breach of contract.

It should however be noted Biswanka's saga has come just a few days after upcoming female Carol Sky came out and accused Mudra of fraud.

Carol claimed that the incident commenced when DJ LL introduced her to Mudra for a collaboration and songwriting venture.

According to Carol's account, during their initial meeting, Mudra praised her talent after listening to some of her songs.

They reached an agreement to work together on a track, and they negotiated a fee of Shs6 million for the collaboration, excluding promotion or a music video.

The resulting song was named "Koona."

After the release of "Koona," Mudra allegedly proposed an additional budget for promoting the song, which included expenses for television, radio, and other media platforms.

In response to the allegations, Mudra presented his side of the story. He explained that the initial discussion for the project took place just before Ramadan, a period during which he refrained from engaging in musical activities.

He informed Carol and her team about his fasting schedule but agreed to proceed with the project immediately if necessary. Mudra initially requested Shs7 million for his services, but they eventually negotiated it down to Shs5 million.

Mudra also stated that Carol expressed a desire for him to elevate her to the same level of fame as Ava Peace, another artist associated with him.
