Today marked the first day of a two-day nominations for the presidential aspirants that are happening in Kyambogo university. Earlier today, H.E Yoweri Museveni got nominated and jubilations were seen in different parts of Kampala from his supporters. Tomorrow will see the nomination of fierce rival Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine, who's the flag holder for National Unity Platform (NUP). Before and after his nomination, president Museveni's supporters were all around the place, given the police's warning against gathering. The police actually came out to declare that "it failed to handle the NRM youths!"
Bobi Wine took to his tweeter and tweeted, "Police has written to me about this route as I go for nominations tomorrow. We have no problem and we shall follow this route to the nominations venue. After that, we shall head straight to our office in Kamwokya where we shall launch our manifesto." This comes after the police wrote to Bobi Wine showing him his travel route tomorrow, which will go like Magere - Kumbuzi - Kisasi - Ntinda stretcher road - Spear motors - Kyambogo university - nomination venue. Whether the police will "fail to handle NUP youths" like it did today with the NRM youths, we're yet to find out.
