Yesterday evening during the close of the first day of the Kampala Geopolitics event organised by the French embassy at Makerere university, singer Jose Chameleone gave the revellers an unforgettable night.
The fun all started from the MC on stage who ordered DJ Roja on the Decks to stop playing "Very well" and switch to "Kiboko fire". Chameleone out of no where jumped on stage and in his usual deep voice started to perform his kiboko song where he featured fellow artiste AgaNaga.
During his performance that started close to 8pm , he occasionally turned off sound to speak to the huge crowds of people that had gathered around the venue. He first of all asked them how they felt then performed more songs.
After some time he turned off the music again through requesting the DJ and this is when he showed off his musical prowess.
He bragged that these days, he is spitting venom when it comes to musical hits. In a whispering mode , he told the crowd that "Bobi Wine Ye Yakita" then "Bebe Cool , Buuza Bebe Cool Byamulema".
Then DJ Roja played "Mateeka" which sent the crowd into huge excitement with everyone singing, screaming and shouting along.
After some more time , he bragged and told people that he has been in the music industry like forever and even stopped counting the number of years.
After singing his last song "Wale Wale" .He brought his son (Abba Marcus) on stage who also excited revellers with his one well known song.
Well I commend this behaviour from Chameleone because things were not good for him last year.
People from all angles poured scorn on him when he failed to give us the usual hits but I am now glad that his 2018 music is playing everywhere.
